hello... i am a long time fan of discworld. i stumbled across this forum today and saw there was no progress with the graphics or even mention of the engine being used so i decided i would like to contribute... i am a hobbyist programmer. i have written a windows based opengl engine i'd be willing to share with this project and tailor to the games specific needs (which suits me, because i'd like to focus on the technical side of the project and allow others to focus on the story, plot and puzzles.) i also have a good understanding of blender. i am however not great at it. you can consider my art as "programmer art" i understand theres more talented people out there that could help. hopefuly this can kick start some interest (even if my contribution is just used as placement art... i do not mind.) the model has 801 vertices and 1574 triangles. i will use vertex colours to texture the model. however i am not great at drawing textures... it took much longer than i had hoped (over an hour.) i will redo the elephants eventually. i'll also add a small island to the centre of the world and add a water effect to the edges... eventually! anyway... i didnt know what to start modeling first as theres no main characters yet? so i decided one sure thing was... the discworld. please leave feedback. can the leader of this project please contact me regarding my possible contribution to the project... thanks for your time. best regards, justin
